About Us

Plant A Seed is more than a nonprofit organization; as the name implies, we are sowing and growing, to empower our community. El Paso is filled with talent, entrepreneurs, and hard-working individuals filled with innovative ideas that only lack support, mentorship and a bit of motivation. Plant A Seed’s mission is to bridge that gap, assist, and be that bit of help the community needs.

Plant A Seed’s mission is to connect the El Paso community with resources tailored to their specific need(s), whether that be educational, provisional, professional, or mental health support. In addition, Plant A Seed is committed to helping the community build confidence, innovative solutions, and independence.

As a former case manager who worked directly with families often from under-served, under-resourced, and under-educated communities, I witnessed the limitations of state social service programs in providing achievable, holistic solutions to larger systemic issues.

Plant A Seed was inspired by the vision of helping individuals and families sow into their own futures and the long-term future of the community around them.
